A thoughtful assertion, that cheerfulness is as much internally derived as externally influenced.   Wish you the conditions needed to have it come to you both from within and without.

Cheerfulness, it would appear, is a matter which depends fully as much on the state of things within, as on the state of things without and around us. 

I am cheerful today, for many of the usual reasons, plus the fact that after months of drought, a fresh, dousing rain has poured over the landscape for several days.
