Attributed to Einstein, this gives us two clear-cut approaches to life. Babies and small children seem more alive to the miraculous but a challenge for adults is that of both seeing the world as it is, tragedy and all, while maintaining that miraculous sense.Â
Or, to use the definition of ‘nuannaarpoq’, to continue taking ‘extravagant pleasure in being alive’.Â
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
May your days be packed with the miraculous, including in small or ordinary things, and may your senses stay tuned to it.Â
