When I launched a website celebrating bright writing, a friend sent me this wonderful quotation, a refreshing reminder of much of the meaning of life. It mentions dancing, but I think people are living by this when they go for a bike ride and a picnic in a field or a park, or walk, or play in the street.
The full quote includes a reminder that electronic communities aren’t enough, we need a real world. I hope after reading this, you might switch off your computer and get up and go out and do something.
“… We are dancing animals. How beautiful it is to get up and go out and do something. We are here on Earth to fart around. Don’t let anybody tell you any different.”
